The DC35 Water Pump in your Garden comes equipped with a filter and pump outlet tube to efficiently move water into the water tray. By default runs the pump for 5 minutes every hour.
If your Personal Garden detects a pump or water level issue, the water level lights will flash rapidly, and the pump will automatically shut off. Check that there is enough water in the water tank and that the pump is submerged.
If no issues are present, restart the pump by pressing and holding the restart button for 5 seconds. If connected to Wi-Fi, you can restart the pump by tapping the water level icon on your app.
Care & Maintenance
For optimal performance and longevity, it's essential to clean your water pump every six months, along with your Deep Clean. Follow these maintenance steps:
Tools Needed:
Sponge
Vinegar Based-Cleaner (EXAMPLE)
Pliers
Cleaning Steps:
Remove Pump: Take the water pump out of the water tray.
Separate Components: Remove the filter and outlet tube from the pump.
Disassemble Pump: Use pliers to remove the rotator cover and take out the rotator. (For a step-by-step video on how to disassemble the water pump: DC35 HERE)
Cleaning: Mix equal parts vinegar and warm water. Use a sponge dipped in the cleaning solution to scrub away any buildup on the pump, rotor, filter, and outlet tube.
Troubleshooting
Taking proper care of your pump can help prevent issues and ensure optimal performance. However, if you do encounter problems, prompt troubleshooting is essential.
Issue 1: Pump Does Not Start
If your Personal Garden water pump does not start, it may be due to the following:
Pump Outlet Tube jamming pump: Carefully loosen the pump outlet tube. If it is too far in, it may be jamming the pump. Proceed with caution: if it becomes too loose, it may allow water to spray upwards. Then, press and hold the light button on the Garden for 5 seconds.
Plastic Grate Preventing Rotor From Spinning: Remove the plastic "grate" on the front of the pump with piers or a flathead screwdriver. Double-check that the rotor can spin freely. Then, reassemble the pump, place it back in the full tray, and plug it in. Press and hold the light button from the Garden for 5 seconds.
