Family Rise Garden: Water Leak Issue

If you are encountering a water leak, you must turn off your Family Rise Garden and immediately remove the water to avoid any damage to the Garden’s electronic components.

To identify the root cause of the water leak, we ask that you check for the following:

  • Water Tray not correctly positioned: When the water trays drain/supply holes (spouts) are sitting on the rigid tubing, and not sitting into the tubing, this will cause a leak. To ensure this is not the issue please try the following: To get the inner tray to fit correctly, try to re-install the plastic inner tray into the metal outer tray - First, try to install the left side (where the drain and supply are), and getting the inner tray to seat into the rigid tubing below. Then lower the right side down into the outer tray.

  • Water Tray Damage: Check for any damage in the water tray supply and drain spouts, if damaged there could be water leaking through any openings.

  • Drain Tube is clogged: As a result of dead matter and nutrient buildup, it is common for your plumbing system (if not clean) to become clogged. We ask that as your Garden is unplugged to look into your plumbing to check for any possible matter clogging the plumbing.

  • Drain Spout Clogged: If you have any larger plants (with large root systems) growing on the left-hand side of your Garden near the plumbing, the roots may be clogging up your plumbing system. This can cause the roots to dam the Garden's trays, which reduces the flow of water and causes overflowing and flooding. If this is the case, you can easily fix this issue by swapping the tray lids on the left-hand and right-hand sides, so that your larger plants are on the right-hand side of your Garden

  • Drain Filter Clogged: Check the” L” filter foam in the drain tube elbow, if clogged it can cause water to back up in the drain tube. Ultimately causing the leaking.

If you are not able to identify the root cause of the issue, please provide us a video that clearly shows where the water leak is originating from, the plumbing and water tray set up in your Garden.
