The Personal Garden is simple to use, providing you with a seamless growing experience. Below you will find what helps run the Personal Garden and how each part operates.

Power Supply

Once you have connected your Garden to power, the power supply’s indicator light will turn blue. This will activate your LED Grow Lights and DC35 Water Pump.

LED Grow Lights

The lights are automatically set to run for 16 hours every day from the moment they Garden is connected to power. For example, if you set your Garden up for the first time at 1pm the lights will run for 16 hours until 5am the next morning. Once your Garden is connected to WiFi, you can set a light schedule. To set a light schedule, check out our article: Setting a Light Schedule.

Water Pump

Unlike our Family and Rise Gardens water pump which operates 24/7, the water pump for the Personal Garden will operate in 5 minutes every hour.  The water pump includes the pump filter and pump outlet tube.

Control Board

Our small but mighty control board helps carry on all the Personal Garden’s functions, see below:

While you are starting your pods in the Nursery, the water pump does not need to operate. You may disconnect the water pump from the control board. Once the pods have been transferred into the Garden you may connect the water pump back to the control board.

Water Level Indicator

The Personal Garden’s current water level can be seen through the water level indicator located on the garden’s replacement tray. The tray holds 1 gallon of water, which typically lasts for about 2 weeks, depending on the plants and growth stage.

Lastly, another important part of the garden's function is its light dimmer, water level & care indicator lights, see below to understand their functions:
