Moving the Pods into your Garden
July 1 2024 7:54pm • Est. Read Time: 2 MINOnce your pods have germinated you can transfer them to the Garden! To help you properly organize your pods in your Garden, we strongly recommend that you follow our Plant Compatibility Guide and Spacing Guide HERE.
How do I transfer my pods to the Garden in my Rise Gardens App?
You must always ensure that the information in the Rise Gardens App matches your Garden. If the information doesn’t match you will encounter growth issues.
Not adding all the plants that are in the Garden
You have more plants in your Garden than in the Rise Gardens App. This will cause you to underfeed your plants.
Adding plants that are not in the Garden
You have fewer plants in your Garden than in the Rise Gardens App. This will cause you to overfeed your plants.
Do I thin my plants once they have been transferred to the Garden?
Some plants will need to be thinned when transferred into the Garden. Thinning will give the plants more space, nutrients, moisture, and light to grow without competing with other plants. Overcrowded plants can lead to a shortage of nutrients and limited air circulation, which can lead to diseases. To thing them follow these directions:
First, you should select the strongest-looking plant and prune the other seedlings around it. To ensure the greatest success and least disturbance of the selected plant.
Second, remove 20% at a time over a couple of days. This will ensure that the main plant has some time to adjust and become stronger in case its roots are disturbed by the surrounding plants being pruned.
Not all plants will require thinning. Those that do, will require it after they are moved into the Garden. Under the plant profile, they will be able to see if the plant needs thinning.
