Performing a Deep Clean
July 1 2024 10:15pmYou will need to perform a Deep Clean every 3 months. This entails a deep cleaning of the Garden and Garden tools (such as nursery, net cups, tray lids, lid covers, pump, filters, plumbing, and water tank). This will ensure that any potential fungus, algae, or nutrient buildup is cleaned off, ensuring the success of any future plants and Garden.
To perform a deep of your Garden follow the directions below
Additional Information
Use Vinegar: We strongly suggest that you use a (non-apple) vinegar. Feel free to try and find the highest percentage vinegar to use in cleaning as this will have a stronger sterilizing effect on your garden, like THIS. Use the cleaning vinegar for all the other Garden tools as well. Once cleaning has been done we ask that you allow the Garden to dry for at least 48 hours.
Using a Pipe Clear for Plumbing: When cleaning the plumbing in your system such as conduits, supply lines, and tubing, we recommend using a pipe cleaner like THIS.
Lastly, if you have been instructed to perform a Deep Cleaning, while you have plants in your Garden you may skip the deep cleaning until the plants have been harvested. Also, after you perform a Deep Clean the app will ask for a high amount of nutrients to help your Garden back to the correct EC.
