Testing Your Garden's pH
August 29 2024 9:03pmRegular pH monitoring is essential for optimal plant growth. By consistently checking your Garden's pH levels, you can ensure that your plants properly absorb the nutrients they need to thrive and avoid potential issues caused by imbalances.
The ideal pH range for most hydroponic plants is between 5.5 and 6.5, known as the "grow zone. Use our pH strips to keep your Garden's pH within this optimal range!
To use the pH strips please follow the directions below:
Test your Water: Regularly test your garden's pH levels using the provided pH test strips.
Take a strip for dipping into nutrient water
Open the service door on the first level and dip your strip for 5 seconds
After dipping, shake the strip to remove excess water
Use the legend to identify your current pH level
Identify pH issues: A pH level above 6.5 indicates high alkalinity, while below 5.5 signifies high acidity.
For high pH (above 6.5): Add 3 squirts until you achieve a reading of 6 or lower.
For low pH (below 5.5): Remove a portion of nutrient water and dilute the remaining with your water source and take another reading.
