Rise Garden 2: Incorrect Water Level Lights

If your Rise Garden 2's water sensor is encountering issues, we ask that you determine which problem you are encountering from the options below. Once you identify your issue, please perform the troubleshooting steps.

  • If water level lights are incorrect: Your water-level sensor (ultrasonic sensor) is responsible for measuring the height of the water level in your Garden. It generally provides a level accurate within 1-2cm. The water level sticker is placed manually on the water tank. Similarly, it is also generally accurate to 1-2cm.

Given this uncertainty, it is not unusual for the water level indicated on the door display to differ by one from the labeled level. If the displayed level does not change or is significantly different from the apparent water level of your Garden, it can mean that something is blocking the ultrasonic sensor. Please do the following:

  1. Slide your water tank slightly to the left or the right -- it sometimes obstructs the sensor and prevents it from accurately reading the water level.

  2. Check to make sure that the pump, supply tube, or another object in the water tank is not blocking the view of the ultrasonic sensor.

  • If water level lights are blinking on and off every second: Flashing water level lights indicate the garden has detected a pump/water level issue and turned off the pump.

  1. Check that the pump is plugged into the control box. Check that there is enough water in the water tank and that the pump is submerged. Then, press and hold the button on the front of the cabinet (picture below) for 5 seconds. The garden will attempt to toggle the pump on. The water level lights should stop flashing while the pump is running. The water level lights should stop flashing while the pump is running. If the water level lights resume flashing, the garden has failed to turn the pump on.

  • If water level lights are off or water level lights are blinking on and off every second:

  • Power off the Garden by switching off or unplugging the power supply from the wall outlet.

  • Check the door display connection on the control box. (Note: the door display is snug and can only be inserted in one orientation. Rotate the connector slowly until it slots into places)

  • Check the water level sensor connection on the control box.

  • Power on the Garden by switching on or re-plugging in the power supply.
